This Week at Providence-Fort Washington
Thursday February 5, 2015
Great is our Lord, and abundant in power;
his understanding is beyond measure.
The LORD lifts up the downtrodden;
he casts the wicked to the ground.
Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving;
make melody to our God on the lyre.
He covers the heavens with clouds,
prepares rain for the earth, makes grass grow on the hills.
He gives to the animals their food,
and to the young ravens when they cry..
Psalm 147:5-9

Rocking Readers Update
Friends glad to see you, a rocking chair, a great book, and a child eager to hear you read. What could be better? That's the joy of becoming one of the Rocking Readers, our church's outreach to the local school community. From 9:00 to 10:30 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings we read to kindergarten children at Fort Washington Forest Elementary School, just a few miles from the church. Please consider joining this group; committed time is minimal; just 1 1/2 hours every other week. A fingerprint background check is necessary for all volunteers. The reward far exceeds the requirements!
For more information or to volunteer, contact Ann or any one of the Rocking Readers.
