This Week at Providence-Fort Washington - August 28, 2014

This Week at Providence-Fort Washington

Thursday August 28, 2014

O give thanks to the LORD, call on his name,

make known his deeds among the peoples.

Sing to him, sing praises to him;

tell of all his wonderful works.

Glory in his holy name;

let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.

Seek the LORD and his strength;

seek his presence continually.

Remember the wonderful works he has done,

his miracles, and the judgments he uttered.

Psalm 105:1-5

Rocking Readers Are Getting Ready For School!

Summer is flying by and schools will open before we know it!

That means that our church’s Rocking Readers will once again be

welcomed to Fort Washington Forest Elementary School

to provide one-to-one reading experiences for kindergarten students.

Last year’s highly successful program proved the value

of what this individual time can mean to a child.

It can also be said that those who read gain more joy than can be measured.

If you have as little as an hour-and-a-half in the morning on

Monday, Wednesday or Friday every other week to spend

with these children, consider becoming a Rocking Reader.

A simple fingerprint and background check is all that is needed.

Please talk with Ann or with any of the Rocking Readers about details

Charge Conference

Our 2014 Charge Conference will be

Saturday, November 15, 2014

are invited to attend the Charge Conference.
