Call To Action
The Bishops of the United Methodist Church are calling all Methodists to begin
The Great Awakening of the Church.
This is a denomination wide effort to develop vital congregations
so we can make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Part of our response is to create an action plan for
Providence-Fort Washington.
We will begin by attending a training program in Prince Frederick on August 27th.
Please contact Pastor Stephen if you would like to attend.

The Chancel Choir will have CDs of the Easter Cantata for sale at $10.00 each.
To purchase a CD see Judy or sign up on the sheet in the narthex.

Update on Herb’s daughter, Becky
Many of your want to provide care and support to Herb and his daughter, Becky,
who was severely burned over the Memorial Day weekend.
While she cannot yet receive visitors, you can follow her recovery online at
(You will need to create a login to view her site.)

Becky is not allowed to receive flowers due to risk of infection. However, she is allowed to receive cards...in fact it's encouraged.  Her address is:
Rebecca Hart
Washington Hospital Center, 4H12
110 Irving Street NW
Washington, DC 20010-2975

Do you have something to add?
Do you have an announcement that need to get out to everyone in the church? If so, please e-mail it to me (srricketts@verizon.net) and I will include it in the next
This Week at Providence-Fort Washington.

Blessings,

Pastor Stephen
